Signature wine van Razvan Macici !

Winemaker: Răzvan Macici, produced at Crama Mierla Alba and bottled at Crama Rasova.

Harvest / winemaking:

The grapes were harvested manually, in small crates. At the winery, they were sorted and destemmed without crushing and were macerated in open vats of 400 liters. The maceration was carried out with a double system of manual "pigeage" (immersion of the cap) and with a reassembly per day, being aerated with a small pump. After the alcoholic fermentation, the wine was pulled from the skin into a stainless steel tank, where it was left to clarify for 2-3 days. Then, it was transferred into 300-liter barrels, where it completed its malolactic fermentation. It was followed by the first infusion and a period of sweeping of 2 years and 6 months in five new barrels of Romanian wood and five barrels of the second year, during which it had two more infusions. The wine is bottled without filtration and was kept for another 4 months in the bottle, before being released on the market.

Tasting note:

Expressive, with a bright ruby-red color, the wine abounds with strong, ripe and robust fruity aromas. It is expressed in pronounced tones of smoked plums, fruit jams and violets, which it wraps in elegant sensations of chocolate truffles and dry spices. The taste has an athletic structure, thanks to the energetic and well-polished tannins, which manage to convey juiciness, strength and finesse at the same time. The taste journey culminates with a long and ample aftertaste, in which hints of bitter chocolate and black cherries can be felt, against a background of cloves and cinnamon.
